Fundraising News

November 18th, 2019

One of the brilliant benefits of having an extensive dedicated workforce is the strength we can put behind  fundraising efforts and it’s safe to say our brilliant teams across North England never fail to raise huge amounts for a range of great causes.

Children in Need was held on Friday 15th November this year and we were so glad to see our kitchen staff in numerous Schools across Cumbria dressing up and cooking up special themed delights for pupils to buy and enjoy. Some of our teams were even lucky enough to receive personal visits from Pudsey himself – the smiles say it all! Well done to everyone who got involved and had fun donating and raising money along the way.

As an organisation, over the years we have taken every opportunity to support as many worthy causes as possible but we also recognise the value of working closely with a chosen charity and the difference that focussing our fundraising efforts can make. For this reason, we have decided to partner with a charity from a list put together by Orian and Cumbria Waste Group employees. Our chosen charity will receive support from our Group for one year, receiving donations from a number of company-organised events and sponsorships. A new charity will be chosen each year and we are looking forward to raising awareness and funds for a wide range of wonderful causes in the years to come.
