Oh, we do like to be beside the seaside…..
March 28th, 2017
There will be buckets and spades, deck chairs and seagulls aplenty when Orian celebrates A Day By the Sea in one of its upcoming theme days.
Orian, who freshly prepare and serve more than 13,000 school meals each day to school pupils across the North of England, holds a series of theme days and celebrations throughout the year.
To celebrate the coming of summer later this year, there will be a Day by the Sea celebration held where children can tuck in to freshly-prepared fish, enjoy an ice-cream and celebrate all that is great about the British seaside!
Already this year pupils have enjoyed theme days as diverse as Great British Pudding Week, Grow with Orian Week, Dig for Victory and Clean Plate Week. The events are designed to make lunchtimes fun and interesting as well as encouraging children to try different foods, flavours and cuisines.
Director at Orian, Alistair Irvine, said: “Our full programme of events is always fun and full of great flavours for children to try. We get such lovely feedback on how much everyone enjoys the days – and our teams have great fun holding them too!”
