ORIAN EMBARK ON BESPOKE NORTH EAST CLEANING FRAMEWORK

September 17th, 2018

September is always a busy month for our teams as plenty of new contracts commence and we re-embark on our school-based catering and cleaning duties. We were especially excited to enter into the new OJEU compliant framework for the provision of cleaning services for schools across the North East, awarded to us earlier this year by Newcastle-based procurement firm Prosper.

Orian Director Alistair Irvine, said: “Orian are delighted to have been awarded the sole provider status on Prosper’s School Cleaning framework, it is a great achievement for our team, we cannot wait to get started”

The brand-new framework will provide schools with a fast, cost-effective solution for their cleaning needs. Ponteland Community High School, Prudhoe Community High School and St Benet Biscop Catholic Academy are on the first contract under the new framework and Claire Hancock, business manager at Ponteland Community High School, said: “The framework Prosper has created is exactly what we needed to keep our cleaning standards high. Working with Prosper has helped us find a more cost effective and efficient way to keep our school in tip-top condition!”

Rod Brasington, chief executive of Prosper, said: “We were delighted when the schools approached us to consider developing a procurement solution to provide cleaning services. We quickly identified a need for this across the region, so we set up the framework to cover this area but also delivered everything the three schools needed.

“The framework is available for use by other schools, academies, colleges, multi-academy trusts, Universities and any other education establishments and local authorities across the North East.

Louise Dodds, Head of Contract Management at Prosper, representatives from each school and Orian’s Alistair Irvine, June Garner and Clary Hayes recently attended a photoshoot to promote the framework and it presented a great opportunity to catch up on the latest developments and share feedback. The great news is that we’ve got off to a brilliant start and look forward to what the future holds.
