Case Study

Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust

“Our contract with Orian began on the 1st April 2022. The contract to provide cleaning at eighteen of our community properties was awarded after an intense tendering process undertaken by our procurement colleagues and Yorkshire Purchasing Organisation.

“Our first contact with Don and his team began in January, when we were contacted to arrange a mobilisation and introduction meeting.

“Our first meeting was held on the 19th January which provided sufficient time for both ourselves and Orian to discuss the details of the contract and the mobilisation plans.

“As with any new provider, there was an element of trepidation around the service being delivered to the standards we require especially being Healthcare.

“The assigned team allayed all those concerns with their positivity and excellent communication with us.

“The TUPE of staff from our incumbent cleaning providers of which there was four, was undertaken seamlessly without any delays or issues.

“Since the contract went to tender the NHS introduced New Cleaning Standards which Orian embraced and worked with us to implement across the eighteen community sites.

“Although the contract is still in its infancy, the level of service received from Orian so far has been excellent. We have had no issues with the level of cleanliness, no complaints from the services, and at no time have I or my Domestic manager had to contact Orian’s contract team regarding non deliverance of the service.

“Having a resource like Orian provides assurance and peace of mind that allows us to concentrate on providing our service within the inpatient areas we have responsibility for.”
